Château Grand Bigard's Folly

The Folly at Château Grand Bigard is one of the many interesting architectural features on the grounds of the Château which make for interesting photo compositions. I will be covering Follies in another post once I have visited and photographed some to use as illustrations. In brief though they are architectural structures built simply to provide an interesting focal point in gardens or in the general landscape especially in large properties. Some follies are like the arches found in Château Grand Bigard while others are more elaborate from towers to ruins (structures built to resemble ruins or ruins from other places relocated to some other place).
