Visit to the Orator Hotel - Part 6

Here are some more photographs of my visit to The Orator Hotel. One of the great things about the gardens is the large variety of plants belonging to the Plant Family Bromeliaceae. Someone with more expertise could probably spend many hours happily cataloguing the different species to be found. the thing about most of the plants in this family is that even when they are not flowering the colours and forms are often more than enough to delight the eye. And when in flower they produce some rather exquisite offerings that last for quite a while prolonging the pleasure they give to their aficionados.

I think it would be safe to say that the variety of Bromeliaceae to be found in the gardens of The Orator Hotel is considerable and one for which they are reputed among fans of plants and the hotel.

Also to be found lurking or sunning themselves among the plants are a number of hotel felines (Felis hotelius or Felis oratorius perhaps?). This character obviously did not like paparazzi because once he/she realised I was taking pictures I was awarded a dirty look and a disappearing act that left little to the imagination.

Chrysothemis pulchella

Amidst the gardens and paths are scattered small clearings with tables and benches for smokers and others wanting to absorb the scenery.
Here is one of the entrances to the pools which are also surrounded by the gardens and harmoniously incorporated into them.
